100817-N-5292M-991 NORFOLK (Aug. 17, 2010) A Sailor stands watch aboard USS Laboon (DDG 58) at Naval Station Norfolk. The guided-missile destroyer is leaving on a six-month deployment as part of a Standing Naval Maritime Group (SNMG) and will deploy to the Mediterranean Sea and the 6th Fleet area of responsibility, where it will support theater security cooperation by participating in regional exercises with allies, making diplomatic ports calls and responding to any contingency.
