The Blueberries are in their last gasps

The hated Navy Working Uniform Type I (NWU I) “blueberry” uniform was in 2017 consigned to the trash bin (but will live forever on the decks and p-ways of the USS Nathan James) and the last in issue are to be retired at the end of the month as the Navy has officially switched to the new green NWU Type IIIs as of FY20, which starts 1 October.
