A PB2Y-3 of VP-13 at Midway in 1944, the Chinco supported these planes from this squadron during anti-shipping operations in the Marshal Islands from 26 Feb–22 Jun 1944 with the big boats conducting two 600-900 mile patrols each day, the longest search sectors ever flown by a PB2Y-3 to that date.
