Valentina Zimina Women’s Battalion
Valentina Zimina (1-1-1899 / 12-3-1928) Was a silent screen actress, Russian born,the daughter of a Moscow stage actress, Zimina served with the famed Women’s Battalion of Death (of 10 Days in October Winter Palace fame) during the Great War. She was in a Siberian prison, from which she escaped and made across Asia and onto Hollywood. The rest of her family were killed in the Russian Civil War.
