Biloxi Beach for Hurricane Isaac
Here in Biloxi beach we are a little different.
We have lived through Hurricane Camile, where he had all night parties. We lived through Hurricane Katrina and pulled ourselves out of it by ourselves while other parts of the country stood by and waited for FEMA, or a handout, or the National Guard, or whatever.
So today we had a good time watching the out of state news crews come and gawk at the giant two foot swells along our coast.
We gawked back. I have to admit, I was down there with my camera and took a few shots, made a few new friends, and visited.

Yup, thats a pretty friendly bunch from CNN there. One even heard of my zombie book….although I think he may have confused me with Max Brooks…
Now there was another film crew from NBC caught the good old fashioned Biloxi spirit.
Timothy Burke over at Deadspin found a couuple of Biloxi Beach Bros who were not quite as friendly as I was.
“Isaac’s finally found his seat upgrade, and is heading to assault the Gulf Coast with actual hurricane-force winds. While FEMA stands ready and second-tier-couldn’t-get-the-RNC-gig reporters speak breathlessly from the scene, actual Mississippians don’t seem to be letting the whole fuss get to them.
Take these two gentlemen, for example, on the beach at Biloxi. Hurricanes mean great surfing weather, after all, though it seems these bros are mostly interested in air-humping NBC reporter Janet Shamlian. Pump those hips, bros!” (video here!)
Stay Classy Biloxi…..hey we never said we were aristocrats.

I am sitting over here in Alabama watching the tide roll away! We have our share of camera crews running around looking for the big waves. Stay safe.
The most over hyped storm in history…….
