Correct ship. Wrong date and action. Duke of York opened fire on Scharnhorst at 16.48. Given it was late December and the battle took place close to the Arctic Circle we are talking about perpetual darkness at that time of year and so far north. Accordingly this image of Duke of York firing in broad daylight cannot possibly be from the battle itself which was fought entirely in night-time conditions.
