The Finn’s did well with them… and the USN chose it over the F4F Wildcat initially. I understand the factory was in a multilevel building in Long Island City, Queens, NYC. Assemblies would be built upstairs then sent down a service elevator where other subassemblies mated, then down another service elevator til t rolled out onto the street. Worked on paper but not in reality…
