July 30, 1945 – “Type ‘A’, bundle of clothing to drop for either POWs or guerilla forces. Supply for 50-men packed in mattress cover and tied with steel strapping. This is a free drop bundle dropped from plane without parachute. Pile shows the the complete bundle plus contents that go into said bundle; 50 pairs khaki suits, 50 pairs underwear; 150 handkerchiefs; 50 sewing kits; 50 caps and 50 belts. Manila, P.I.” (NARA)
