Very Sad indeed! I was invited along for the last trip from Rainer ORE. To where the Alert rests now. It was a beautiful day and all aboard enjoyed the day riding up the river while visiting and sharing stories of their involvement of this great cutter!
I was asked by one of the volunteers to document the voyage which I’m so glad I did. We put together a great little video and intended to shoot more and complete the project but as time moved forward the Alert preservation team lost some key members, it’s sickening to see this piece of history sunken along with all the dreams The preservation team had planned
