Elizabeth Vanguard Crossing the Line 1947 Shellback battleship
As a princess sailing on the battleship HMS Vanguard to South Africa in 1947, Elizabeth participated in the traditional line-crossing ceremony and was initiated into the Kingdom of Neptune. Elizabeth was a good sport, but was excused from a few of the harsher hazings metted out to Pollywogs
