William Adger Moffett
RADM Moffett, the Navy’s first Chief of the Bureau of Aeronautics, a position he held until his death in the crash of the rigid airship USS Akron (ZRS 4) in 1933. His MoH is on display at the National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola.
