The cruiser HMS Aurora, escorting some of the Torch Landings transports to North Africa, almost surely Convoy KMF O1, of which she escorted the transports HMS Princess Beatrix, Queen Emma, Benalbenach, Mark Twain, Mary Slessor and Walt Whitman to X Beach where they landed elements of the U.S. 1st Armored and 6th Infantry divisions.
