The whirlybird is a Sikorsky HO3S-1 Dragonfly (S-51) UP28 of the “Fleet Angels” of Navy Helicopter Utility Squadron One (HU-1). Assigned to support the RN and Royal Australian Navy, this aircraft was nicknamed “Uncle Peter.” September 1951. IWM (A 31984)
