Brisbane when we were disembarked from Crescent City 1942
Marines Debarking at Brisbane, First Marine Division Leaving Guadalcanal, circa late 1942. Tired and battered but happy, battle-toughened Marines, relieved from the Solomons, disembark under full pack from a U.S. Navy transport at an allied base in the South Pacific.
