Delta Lines Del Norte
Founded in 1919 and based in Seattle, the Delta Line specialized in the Gulf of Mexico-to-South America “coffee route,” hauling general cargo and passengers back and forth. The company liked “Del” names such as the above Ingalls-built “Del-Triplets” (SS Del Norte, Del Sud, and Del Mar) built, like Delorleans/Crescent City, on C-3 P&C hulls.
