Who needs Vibranium?
Jerry Miculek is a champion shooter that is known for being able to skin a smoke pole as humanly possible. He is also apparently a big Captain America fan and he built his own 12-pound shield solid titanium shield for fun and games.
And the thing is, while it isn’t made out of the mythical Vibranium-iron alloy that the Captain’s is, Jerry’s tests with it being able to stop .45 ball are impressive.
But it does ring a bit when struck, unlike Howard Stark’s prototype for the first Avenger (“It’s stronger than steel and a third the weight. It’s completely vibration absorbent,” said the man with the funny mustache).
Moreover, Jerry’s now bullet-riddled titanium shield is one heck of a melee weapon. And I’m not sure just how old Jerry is, but he can chuck that bad boy pretty good, so I’m not going to ask.
