Rifle of America’s “first active shooter” up for grabs

So in recent years a number of high-profile guns owned by nefarious people have come on the market. These include everything from Goering’s shotgun to Bonnie’s FitzColt that she had strapped to her during the last shootout she was ever invited to.

Well, it looks like another notorious gun has surfaced. The Remington 700 ADL of Charles Whitman, the 1966 UT Tower shooter, has come up for auction. They are asking $25,000 which, in my opinion, the rifle should be donated to a museum and put on somber display rather than sit in somebody’s man room, but hey, nobody asked me.
