Loosemore ‘Super Single’ Rifle
Via the NFM:
In the summer of 1995, a Wisconsin inventor contacted the National Firearms Museum and wanted to pass along his single-shot rifle, bearing serial number 1. This .22 Short open-bolt design features a tapered chamber to hold the cartridge case firmly in position in the event the muzzle is raised. Designing this unique rifle took two years (1988-1990) and as part of the donation, the museum received the original machining diagrams.
