Czech You Later: CZ 75 B, CZ 75 BD, and CZ 75 Compact Discontinued
Cue the funeral dirge for a few classic CZ models that are being escorted out of the company’s pistol catalog this year.
CZ announced on Thursday that 2026 will “mark the conclusion of production for three CZ 75 models: the CZ 75 B, CZ 75 BD, and CZ 75 Compact.”
The move will close out several of the classic era CZ 75 models, save for the new CZ 75 Legend, introduced as a 50th anniversary product for the series. Also still in production will be the assorted SP/P-01 series CZ 75s, the alloy-framed CZ 75 D PCR and the CZC A-01 line, the latter being a CZ Customs-tuned model.
The company noted in a release that the discontinued pistols “have each played an important role in carrying the CZ 75 design forward,” and “have been valued by shooters for their balance, craftsmanship and proven design, becoming lasting parts of the CZ lineup and of the shooting experiences of generations of customers.”
Of course, new old-stock models are still circulating around, at least for now, but will probably start commanding a premium as CZ collectors move to round out the holes in their gun safes.
So basically, they are replacing their tried and true platform that is at a reasonable price, to be replaced by their ridiculously overpriced CZ 75 Legend, which actually goes backwards as far as technically and ergonomics are coxncerned FOR LITERALLY TWICE THE PRICE OF A CZ-75-BD… Well if that isn’t a BIG F.U. to all of their customers Idk what is?!? I thought they were absolutely CRAZY FOR DISCONTINUING THE CZ-2075-D-RAMI as that is an absolutely PERFECT SIZED conceal carry pistol that is still an all metal frame, well, they also made a super lame PLASTIC “polymer” framed version of the RAMI but NOBODY WANTS A POLYMER FRAMED PISTOL THAT HAS AN ALL METAL OPTION, you would have to be beyond stupid to choose plastic over metal when given the option, who cares about a few ounces of weight difference?? THE HEAVIER THE PISTOL, THE STRAIGHTER IT SHOOTS!!! This is a VERY DISAPPOINTING turn of events from literally THE ONLY COMPANY that I personally will ever buy an automatic pistol from, guess I might have to switch to TANGFOLIO, as I know they won’t be ditching a SUPERIOR PLATFORM IN EXCHANGE FOR AN OLD & TIRED VERSION FOR 2X THE PRICE!!! It’s all about the $$$ in the end, why continue selling metal framed pistols for around $700 when you can make a hunk of PLASTIC JUNK for 1/8 the price and sell it for $550-$600 and profit FAR MORE, and for the people like myself if we want a metal framed REAL, ACTUAL, GUN, THAT ISN’T CAPABLE OF MELTING UNDER A MAGNIFYING 🔍 GLASS AND THE ☀️ SUN…. than we are stuck buying a freaking Shadow II now essentially for $1,400 or the “super affordable” new CZ TS-3 Orange FOR A WHOPPING $3,500!!!! Personally, $3,500 is just out of the question for me to spend on a firearm, and quite frankly, so is $1,400! $700 was my personal max I ever wanted to spend on a good pistol, but CZ apparently thinks that all of the poors like myself are simply going to have to be stuck shooting B.S. Glock style CRAP made out of PLASTIC such as the P-10!!!! Way to make me, a 12 year long LOYAL CUSTOMER start thinking about the alternatives like maybe a JERICHO, OR A TANGFOLIO, OR A SPHINX INSTEAD FOR MY NEXT COUPLE OF PISTOLS JUST TO SPITE THIS TERRIBLE BUSINESS MOVE YOU JUST MADE!!! I sure hope the rumors are true about a CZ-75 pistol being developed that is chambered in a 5.7X28 Caliber, because that would make for some definite deliverance as far as my opinion going forward on the companys operations as a whole. Another GREAT THING you could do is a COMPLETE REVAMP OF COLTS ASSEMBLY LINEUP, because I know that I am not the only COLT FAN that is surely disappointed by the lackluster performance that CZ has had since obtaining the Colt brand, because we Americans had all hoped that was the reason why you purchased Colt, but instead it was to give Europeans more access to the Colt Name that is synonymous with American Legendary Status symbolism, that was difficult to find in Europe to say the least… AT THE VERY MINIMUM, START MAKING AR-15/M-4 COLT LOWERS AGAIN FOR THE CIVILIAN MARKET WITHOUT THE B.S. HI-SHELF COLT REJECTION POCKETS LIKE COLT VOLUNTARILY STARTED DOING IN THE EARLY 2000’S WHICH WAS ONLY A SHOT IN THE FOOT BECAUSE NOW, NOBODY WANTS YOUR AR LOWERS WITH THE FRT/FRS/SUPER-SAFETY PHENOMENA OCCURING IN AMERICA, SO ALL OF THE COMPANIES WITH M-16 CUT LOWERS OR LOW-SHELF LOWERS ARE COMPLETELY DOMINATING THE AR-MARKET, WHILE COLT HAS TAKEN THE COMPLETE BACK BURNER!!! VERY EASY FIX AND YOU’LL START TO SELL 10X MORE AR LOWERS AND COMPLETE DOMINATE THE AR-MARKET ONCE AGAIN JUST LIKE COLT ONCE DID PRIOR TO THEIR TERRIBLE BUSINESS CHOICES MADE TO APPEASE DEMOCRATS AND EVIL ANTI-GUN NAZIS LIKE GIFFORD’S INSTEAD OF CONTINUING TO APPEASE THE MOST IMPORTANT GROUP O⁵F PEOPLE: THEIR FREAKING PAYING CUSTOMERS!!! It is probably due to the deep surplus of former LE CZ-75s on the market from Israel and Europe.
