According to the Barents Observer, the one of the first things Putin did was decree that the Arctic looked nice, nice enough to make a grab for.
In the Arctic, Vladimir Putin wants the government to work hard to proper international legal registration of external borders, including determine the limits of the continental shelf and surrounding maritime areas. This should be done to ensure Russia’s national interests, primarily in the field of security and economy and based on a task of strengthening trust and cooperation with neighboring countries.
The decree entered force with immediate effect on Monday, a few hours after Putin’s inauguration ceremony in Kremlin.

Putin is about to become a pain in the ass for the world, this guy walks the walk, and talks the talk…..Countrys on border towns shold be scared expecially if you have resources…Georgia won’t be so lucky this second time around, and with our administration totally sticking it to Poland after we had a agreement to “house” war heads there…..we totally left them to get hammered by Russia if they please….
