The Ithaca 1911: New York’s .45, Now by way of Ohio

Back in the 20th Century, one of the biggest names in the shotgun business was the Ithaca Gun Company, located in the city of the same name in upstate New York. Besides scatterguns, the factory also pitched in during WWII to make Colt-pattern Model 1911A1 longslide pistols for the military. Now, after that company’s demise and return, the 1911 is rolling out with Ithaca markings once again.
