Submarine-Escape-Apparatus

HMS C7 was a underused early experimental type of coastal submarine designed by the Royal Navy before World War One. Only 143-feet long and of 316-tons submerged, she carried but two smallish torpedoes, could stay under for about ten hours, and reach a speed of just 12-knots on her extremely dangerous gasoline engine. Commissioned in 1907 she was in reserve by WWI and scrapped in 1919.
